Red Infrared Lights Visible? IPC-HFW4300S vs. DS-2CD2032-I

Good morning folks,

 

After a great deal of research I recently purchased the Dahua IPC-HFW4300S. Unfortionately, the red IR lights are visible at night to the naked eye! This makes it impossible to hide these camera locations.

 

Does anybody know, if the Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I has lights that are visible at night to the naked eye?

They are the same.

 

If you want invisible IR you should look for 900nm IR. I am quite sure that 99.9% of normal cameras do not carry them.

 

But these cameras also are not for hiding. You could forget about the IR of the camera, and get the IR somewhere else (900nm).

Separate IR illumination is best.

 

Allows best control of night time image.

 

Helps reduce flying insects and spiders who like the heat source.

 

 

Bosch makes the best IR illuminators.

 

Their 940nm IR illuminators are true covert and not visible to the human eye.

i am afraid most cameras on the market are visable, but i think the thief won't come if they see the infrared.
