cheiffy 0 Posted July 9, 2014 hi all, first time post. I am just curios, if an IR PTZ camera has a power rating of 50w does it use the 50w of power when on all the time, or only at night time or only when you are controlling it? thanks. excuse the dumb question. Most likely its only when motor used, you can measure amps with digital multimeter in line between camera and power source. If its powered by 12volts DC then 50watts will equal 4.2 AMP draw.
