smcctv 0 Posted July 9, 2014 Hi all, I have a DVR on a customer site in the loft space which overheats when stored in a DVR lockable box. When taken out of the box, the DVR stays in its normal operating temperature. Any ideas on how i can keep the unit cool whilst locked in the lockable box? Someone mentioned a USB Fan, is this safe? milkisbad 0 Posted July 11, 2014 best way is to find a lockbox with a fan if yours doesn't come with it. secondly inside the mother board of the DVR should be a two pin connection for a small PC fan, and see if the housing has a opening to screw in the fan.
