Hikvision 2032-I Events, (GMail) Email Error?

Recommended Posts

Email of events with pic attached from 2032 cam was working. Email settings did not change.

Events email from NVR & IVMS 4200 with same email config. works but they don't seem to see or trigger on the camera's extra intrusion features (virtual plane traversal, & intrusion detection in particular).

I've enabled the 2032 debugging, using commands:

# setDebug -m EMAIL -l 6 -d 111

# outputOpen

Test from camera:

[07-17 11:28:04][OTHER][ERROR]The str_ipv4(smtp.gmail.com) form not accord with

Opened IVMS-4200, control panel, remote config of NVR, test email and get success.

Still using IVMS-4200, remote config of camera, test email and get success.

Back to browser, test camera email... success!

Test again failure.

Anyone see anything that I'm missing or have any suggestions?

I'm having exactly the same problem here across 3 cameras. After having to reboot PCNVR several times email no longer sends from the cameras. I've even reset one the firmware on one of them to no avail.

Have you managed to fix this catseyenu?

All was working again (I have no idea why) until yesterday afternoon.

I did something with IVMS-4200 and she went udders vertical again.

I can't seem to grasp which interface is in charge of this system.

All email settings are the same & haven't changed in either the camera's set

up or in IVMS-4200.

I am seeing blocked packets from the camera's to what looks like the NVR's

POE subnetwork 192.168.254.1 even though the NVR has been manually set to

192.168.1.10.

Still looking....

Thanks. Did you do anything to get it working again, or did it just spring into life after a period of time?

I have no idea why it sends email alerts or doesn't.

As previously noted, I see blocked packets in my firewall log from the cameras to the .254 subnet which is no longer used.

I think it might be a change that gmail is pushing out. I have e-mail alerts setup to send to gmail on motion detection and it also abruptly stopped working yesterday (22nd) afternoon.

Turned on debug and I'm getting the same exact error.

Are there any other e-mail providers that accept Hikvision alert e-mails?

Thanks!

Any links to info on this?

It started working though test buttons still fail.

where's the "pulling my graying hair out" emoticon?

FWIW I'm reading a post that claims you might want to use your ISP's mail.

Note: I did uninstall IVMS-4200 v2 and installed IVMS PCNVR. I suspect this is what's controlling the alerts.

As inconsistent and troublesome as the Hikvision software interfaces are I would have trouble recommending Hikvision if it weren't for their killer cameras.

People may want to avoid Hikvision NVRs until (if?) they work some of the bugs out.

It's not a gmail change. I've tried with gmail, yahoo, outlook.com and my ISP and all fail.

I suggest uninstalling IVMS-4200 v2 & trying IVMS-4200 PCNVR v1.03

I'm running PCNVR v1.03 and it fails to send emails also. PCNVR has somehow screwed up the sending of emails direct from the camera also.

I know, right?

I put some logging on my firewall. Each camera is definitely making a connection to the smtp servers. A wireshark trace from PCNVR shows the same - the SSL handshake succeeds but the connection then bombs out, closed by PCNVR. I suspect the same is happening with the cameras, though why it has suddenly started is anyones guess.

Success! Email using GMX works, even with SSL enabled. Gmail, yahoo, Outlook etc still don't work, so it's looking more like a compatibility issue with the cameras email client and multiple providers stmp servers.

Hello all, I am also affected by this issue. Have 8 HikVision Cams connected to a Dahua NVR. the Cams stopped sending email alerts as of July 22nd 6 AM PST. I still getting alerts from NVR such as disk full so the GMAIL SMTP SSL ports is still working. but the cameras do not send any alerts and they fail the test.

I have spent 4 hrs debugging the issue but with no luck. Please let me know if you figure it out. It seems it has to do with the way HikVision is authenticating based on the emails above although it is not clear what is causing the issue since the camera firmware is still the same for over a months. I am going to try an older firmware to see if it makes a difference.

I am having the same issue but I am not using an NVR. Upgrade them to 5.1.6 and the camera alerts, which were working in GMail just stopped working. I think it might be a bug in the new camera firmware.

The question remains, why does gmail seem to be intermittent?

Anyone know how to test for this?

A little OT, is it my imagination (or ignorance) but do I see a newer version of IVMS-4200 PCNVR (EN_IVMS-4200_PCNVR_v1.03.06.02) on the Russian site than what's up at the US site?

Updates:

1 Support set RTSP and HTTP ports

2 Support import the database from iVMS-4200

3 Support IPv6

4 Support No-ip

5 Support sub stream recording

6 Support go to the accurate time during video playback

7 Other changes

Yes, I've been running it for the past week or so. I couldn't actually see any improvement from the previous version though.

Lol! What could go wrong?

I guess it's better than Russian manufacturing and Chinese programming!

Some how or another I have email alerts back but have lost Traversing Virtual Plane Detection.

It also keeps robbing my OSD custom color settings.

Hi all, I am still not been able to get email alerts to work again with gmail I am not sure if everyone is back online or not but I keep getting Test Failed I tried going to a prior firmware but it did not help. I hope that google did not block my ip due to excessive number of events reported by my 8 cams.

Have you tried another provider, e.g. GMX ? It only takes a few minutes to set up an account with GMX. GMX is working fine for me, after Gmail stopped working.
