orddik 0 Posted August 1, 2014 hey guys in an enterprise setup, do door contacts, electric locks, request to exits usually wire directly into the card reader or do they home run back to the controller? using an rbh axiom v system..... please let me know if u know how to wire this system! Contacts, REX, Reader and lock run back to the controller. You will need a lock power supply to trigger the strike/lock. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ssmith10pn 0 Posted August 2, 2014 Depends on where you put the reader board. As a general rule most systems home run everything. GE FCWNX / PICTURE PERFECT SYSTEMS have a JBOX at the door that you land reader, REX, DC, and strike relay. Then home run a 4 conductor for reader power and data, and a 2 conductor for strike/Mag power. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
