rwtech 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Hi all, looking for some advice if possible. I've installed hundreds of dvr's over a long period of time and have never once come across this issue before. Basically, I have configured the dvr and network to talk to each, no problems there. I can view remotely from outside the local network on 3g, 4g etc. However when I try to view the cctv from inside the local network it will not connect. Usually any issues are the other way around. The ports must be forwarded correctly otherwise I wouldn't see it on an external network. Has anyone come across this before and found a solution? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. mgb 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Just a couple of thoughts, Maybe your pc and dvr were accidentally set to the same IP address. Or maybe you were trying to connect to the dvr through its ddns URL and the router doesn't support NAT Loopback. What steps did you take in trying to connect. rwtech 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Thanks for your response. Double checked the ip addresses and there is no conflict there. Tried connecting via the ddns address and the public ip address. I think you may have hit the nail on the head with the NAT loopback. Upon further investigation it appears that some of the SKY D-link routers do not allow you to enable this. Thanks very much for your assistance. Makes my day a bit easier Thanks again.
