joe4 0 Posted February 7, 2006 What does everyone use for connecting wire to wire? For example, if you have to use a flying power lead and connect it to a Siamese cable. http://vitekcctv.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=164 Just a butt splice connector? Does anyone use a fork/ring connector for there box camera connections? I was thinking of soldering it but I thought you should make a mechanical connection before soldering. joe4 0 Posted February 7, 2006 I am going to try the ideal In-Sure http://www.idealindustries.com/IDEAL-EZ/products.nsf/ItemMasterLookup/p30-086J?OpenDocument It looks fast and I can mix wire sizes. The box says UL listed for grounding and bonding. It also says 600 volts max building wire, 1000 volts sign or lighting fixtures. It looks much weaker than the spec. jeromephone 6 Posted March 11, 2006 We just used the ideal connectors but they are the 2 opening type they seem to be fast to install and give you a nice visual of the wire in its proper place
