For the last day and a half I've been looking thru the forum to see what system I might go with but I really can't find anything on certain ones. Here is a system I was looking at but I'm not sure if it's a decent home system or not. This seems like a good deal especially since it has 16 cameras and I really don't need that many. The price seems pretty darn good as well. Q-See’s QC3016-12H4-1 - BJ's wholesale club has it on sale for $449.99. Is this a decent starter system with decent cameras? One question is with a system like this, would one need to have a electrical outlet by the cameras to power them? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
dscc1 0 Posted September 10, 2014 what are you using the system for? just lower quality recording and monitoring? by what i see on their website ... it comes with this camera (qsc1352w). which reads to me that it comes with a power adapter. does not seem like it's poe possible since it's a BNC connector. if you're able to run ethernet wires, you're probably better off getting a POE based system.
