justaddsun 0 Posted August 29, 2014 I have a 12' X 16' kennel that is closed in on three sides, and I want to be able to monitor my dogs day and night. I want a camera that can achieve facial recognition at the longest distance which would be 16' The kennel lighting varies through the day, so wdr is important. On board storage also a must. poe preferred. I would love two way audio as well. If what I am looking for requires a really expensive camera, please suggest other options which are still good quality even if they come short of my wish list. catseyenu 0 Posted August 29, 2014 Sorry, running on no sleep.. could have sworn you asked about PZT. The Hik 2532 is a sweet mini-dome, installing one now. Low IR coverage "up to 10m", it does come in 2.8mm wide angle lens but some of the 2.8mm lens cameras aren't as clear due to poor factory lens adjustment. http://www.hikvision.com/en/us/products_show.asp?id=9127 The DS-2CD2132-I dome is another good option for the 2.8mm lens and better IR coverage "10 to 30 meters". http://www.hikvision.com/en/products_show.asp?id=7330 If you want the better IR coverage & a little easier installation at a better price point you can't beat the Hik DS-2CD2032-I bullet in a 4mm. http://www.hikvision.com/en/products_show.asp?id=7326 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Boogieman 1 Posted August 30, 2014 The 2532 is great, and has a built in mic which you can use to monitor audio (you need to order the "s" model with sound). Also has an sd card slot. its wall mountable...The 2.8mm version produces a good image and covers a wide angle. 2132 cannot be wall mounted without a mount, no audio option, no sd.
