computercatering 0 Posted August 29, 2014 Hello guys! I'm new here and I am hoping I can find a little bit of advice. I have been installing surveillance systems for about 4 years and I have never had a customer request this before. They would like for the dvr to be view-able on every tv in the home. They have direct tv and everything is ran to a structure box in the basement with all of the splitters. I was going to set up the dvr beside the structure box and was wondering if you can feed the video signal into the direct tv system in some way. They would basically like to go to each tv and change it to a channel and see the cameras. I am familiar with all cctv related terms and I have retro fit lots of things and completed some crazy projects, but this is uncharted territory for me. SunnyKim 2 Posted August 30, 2014 I have never done this. But you may try. The TVOut(Cvbs) signal out of your DVR box is the same as output signal as vcr out or dvd player. If the direct TV box allows an external video input from a VCR and carries TV out port, then video path gets cleared. You may need to change each TV's base station to channel 2 or channel 3, when you need to watch the video from cameras. But as the TVs of each room do not have any link to or control over your DVR set, they can not move around camera channel. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
