fisc0319 0 Posted September 24, 2014 Hello, I have been reading quite a bit but have no real experience with anything cctv related besides setting up wifi in my house. What I am trying to do is set up a camera on our farm in an area with no power. I anticipate using a battery and a solar panel to keep it going. I would like to be able to connect to it via laptop for maybe up to 1 hour at a time, maybe a max of 2 hours at the most. Its about a 2000ft line of sight. How would you go about doing this? Let me add a wrinkle, it would be neat to be able to view a few cameras, some would not be direct line of sight, but could be in view of something that is in view of me. I'm not sure if that would require a bridge or repeater in between (not sure on correct terms). How could this be set up? Thanks Mike
Bhawan 0 Posted September 24, 2014 Use a IP Camera to a wireless access point to a router. hook the the ip camera via hard wire to access point and transmit wireless in line of sight. http://www.tplink.ca/en/products/details/?categoryid=&model=TL-WA7210N you can PM for further details and set-up maps.
