Charlie696 0 Posted October 2, 2014 I have recently had installed a 4 CCTV camera system. All works fine. I have tried to establish remote viewing via my BT Home Hub 4. However the images will only be displayed via eseenet when I am connected via my home WIFI system. My current settings are displayed below - BT Hub IP 192.168.1.50 Port range ANY - 8080 - 8080 ANY - 8888 - 8888 UPnP - Off On the DVR I currently have the following settings IP 192.168.1.50 Gateway 192.168.1.254 Web 8080 Data 8888 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Preferred DNS 192.168.1.254 Any ideas what I am doing wrong? jazzar 0 Posted October 3, 2014 have you set up port forwarding on the router to allow external traffic through the router to the dvr. ie set up new service with the video ports and set firewall rules on router to allow inbound traffic through to the dvr. Something is wrong in there, the router and DVR have the same IP...? Is that a mistake, and the router is 192.168.1.254? You can go to http://www.canyouseeme.org to check if something is seen on ports 8080 and 8888.
Charlie696 0 Posted October 3, 2014 The CanYouSeeMe.org website displays the following Error: I could not see your service on xx.xx.xx.xx on port (8888) Do I need to enter that IP address somewhere?
Securame 0 Posted October 4, 2014 It detects it for you. Your public IP, that is, which I hope is the one you are trying to connect to when you are outside your wifi.
