Malp 0 Posted October 6, 2014 Hi All, I'm somewhat new to the whole DIY camera system, and am looking for some recommendations for a 16 channel PoE system for a place that gets very dark since it's on a lot of land. Need around 10 cameras in which at least 6 or them would be outside. Remote viewing via app would definitely be a must. Is it possible to have a camera hubbed outside to relay to the network in the house? Like a barn or nature camera? Thank you in advance Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

CYANiDE 0 Posted October 7, 2014 There are several ways to tackle this design. You could use a Ubiquiti wireless radios if you want a camera far off in the property. It would just need power. For lots of outdoor land, I would recommend a standalone IR illuminator. I'm in the Northeast. Let me know if you have any other questions - feel free to PM me.
