Very wide temperature range camera

Hi,

 

First time poster, and I've got a question I hope someone will be able to answer.

 

Does anyone know about any IP PTZ off the shelf cameras which work with a broad temperature range? Specifically between -40ºC and +82ºC, and with up to 95% RH (condensing). The reason why I ask is I have a requirement to use cameras to monitor inside very large environmental chambers which operate at these extreme conditions.

 

I can find some cameras which operate down to -40ºC or -50ºC, but nothing which goes up to +82ºC. Many have specs which go up to 40, 50 or 60, and I've found some Moxa cameras which go up to 75ºC - but unfortunately that's not high enough for my requirements.

You might have to start looking at explosion proof housings or these with specific environmental controls. Industrial Video is the only company I can think of right now, but there are several other that provide this equipment. Be aware, this is very very expensive equipment.

More customized housings with more advanced heating and cooling elements should do the job for you if you can't find a camera which I assume would need to be water cooled.

I have spotted a fair few high temperature cameras and bodies, but none of those appear to be suitable for cold conditions.

 

I get the impression that I'll have to adapt an off the shelf product which copes with -40 to +50 or so by using thermocouples and an air line.
