mikelisa0212 0 Posted October 14, 2014 Hi, I bought a house with an old CCTV system. The cameras are Phillips, can get more info if that is needed. The problem is the new cameras I bought have the power going through an "RCA Jack" type power plug. The old outside cameras are hard wired to the camera. They have a black and a white wire on one the cameras power wire and a red and a green wire to the other. How to I hook that up to the new camera? I hope it is possible, because the one camera has the wiring going underground to the house. Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Welcome such cameras is quite a large amount, available on the market, Some may have different voltage, so before connecting, I suggest you check tester or voltage. I'm not sure, but rather we could not do without conversion plugs, can you post a model or pictures.
mikelisa0212 0 Posted October 14, 2014 Thanks. The existing (old cameras) are Phillips Digital CCD camera Model LTC0355/20. The new ones I bought are Night Owl Hi Res bullet camers, with 900 TV lines. The power supply on new ones say DC 12V 110/220 volts. Wondering if I can use existing wire to just power the new ones. mikelisa0212 0 Posted October 14, 2014 I found this on the internet with old cameras, if it helps. Push type connectors, polarity independent, isolated from video output terminals
