littlejohn62 0 Posted October 20, 2014 I have an 8 channel HD SDI DVR and I have noticed the bnc connectors on the back of the DVR get very hot to the touch. With or without cameras connected. I have contacted tech support but as always, they never give me the answer to my question "Is this normal" They will give me an RMA but I don't want to pack everything up if this is normal. The fans work just fine. I used an infrared thermal probe and the connectors reach between 86 and 90 degrees F. The ambient room temperature is 78 F.
