JamesT 0 Posted November 5, 2014 Just follow the TFTP recovery on the Hikvision website and get the firmware from there? Having a look here, can not get the TFTP folder to download http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/File/201433116851896.pdf Sorry your last sentence is not making much sence to me. Thanks

Thanks Your topic Recovery of a 2cd-2132 - Missing all files, bricked? I have tried updating my Hikvision 2cd-2032 but when i was copying over the edited davinci.tar and in the middle of it the ftp crashed. Download original firmware for rapror2XX2 and recover it via TFTP. Full instructions how to do it. If you managed to break, I think I will manage to fix it. JamesT 0 Posted November 5, 2014 Sorry where are the full instructions on where to do it? And do i need the Chinese/US/EU firmware? I very much appreciate your help
iTuneDVR 2 Posted November 5, 2014 Use any 5.2.0 raptor firmware. Well, if you have decided on the patch, then you will understand, and in this simple situation. 1. PC IP = 192.0.0.128 2. Start TFTP Server, put ddigicap.dav to the TFTP directory 3. Plug IPC After success, don't forget close TFTP Server
JamesT 0 Posted November 5, 2014 Thank you, still getting my head around this. Is this the same process just using a camera and not a NVR? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlgnqTKsTn0 Also my camera's are connected via POE would it be better to plug directly into my laptop using ethernet or am i going about this the wrong way. buellwinkle 0 Posted November 6, 2014 Your serial number and cameras model are fine, those are not part of the firmware update so once you recover via TFTP you'll be fine. Also, the bootloader is not part of the firmware update, so that should work fine to and work with TFTP.

JamesT 0 Posted November 7, 2014 Thanks, Have not got around to do this yet, but the Hikvision firmware is fine on any 2XX2 model camera? Also would this be the way to do it Change IP of PC Start TFTP, firmware. Plus the camera directly into my laptop via ethernet cable
JamesT 0 Posted November 8, 2014 Tried the above and no joy, i assume as there is no power going to the IP camera. I use a NVR with 4 POE ports. Also i have a POE 8 port switch. Would the switch work? Ip camera - ethernet cable plugged into POE port on the switch - ethernet cable from another POE port, or standard port plugged into the laptop ethernet port.
