Why Skin is darker when camera IR on?

Hello Folks,

 

Recently, we have face a weird case, when Bullet camera Ir is on the skin is getting more darker? May you some one would like to share your opinion.

Because it's through a IR filter. While they're only suppose to filter out certain frequency's of light, like sunglasses, you get what you pay for most times...
