Network setup on new system!

Hi Noob here!

 

I have just brought a Xvim system off of ebay and have connected it all up....so far so good.

 

I have a BT HH5 and connected to that is an 8 port switch which I have used to connect to the CCTV.

 

I have opened ports on the router (TCP and UDP) as 8080.

 

I have a static (unused IP address) and I have the app on my iphone but alas I can not get the thing to work remotely!

 

Any hints?

have you checked the network settings page to see if other ports are required for streaming video or data control- if needed add them to the router for port forwarding also.
