H264 DVR won't respond to mouse or buttons

I have a H264 DVR and for some reason the mouse control has stopped completely and if I press any button on the unit still nothing happens. I can still view through the cameras on screen but can't get to any menus etc.

 

I have switched off the unit and waited then on again but still no difference.

 

Can anyone suggest what to do.

Don't ask me how but sometimes when this happens switching the power supply works, and also open up the DVR and go thru the connections inside, sometimes things get loose. Other than that maybe is time for a new DVR... let us know how you make out.

Have you tried holding the rewind button for a few seconds until it makes a beep?
