Pastoff 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Hello, I am new to the forums, but i've been browsing through some of the great info recently. I was wondering if anyone knew of software that can monitor my IP camera's health. See, I use IP cameras hooked up to static IP sprint aircards (USB) to monitor my properties from afar. However, If a camera goes down, or the internet connection goes bad, I may not find out for days. I am looking for something that can send me a notification or email when I lose connectivity, I'll even take one on a set schedule. Thanks in advance. BTW the cameras I use are VisualInt VI-4200

dvarapala 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Nagios can certainly do that, and you can't beat the price.
Securame 0 Posted November 24, 2014 Nagios can certainly do that, and you can't beat the price. Will check it out, thanks! I am interested on having something simple to keep all my DVRs, NVRs and IPCs located, and know when there is downtimes with any of them. Edit: Meh, not what I was looking for... NOTE: Nagios Core Student and Professional editions are available exclusively as pre-configured CentOS 6 (32 and 64-bit) virtual machines. Optional email and phone support plans are available for all editions.
hardwired 0 Posted November 26, 2014 This is one that I've used a few times, a bit of a learning curve, but it's free- http://www.mikrotik.com/thedude It is intended for use with ISP networks, but it can be configured for this type of use.
