able1 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Looking for Opinons and/or Observations on a EVR16-480-2000 made by Toshiba. I have a customer that may be looking at a system with this capacity along with 90 days worth of storage for 32 cameras. Looking for Plus and Minus scores with good alternatives if possible. Thanks in advance.
JMANOFNVS 0 Posted February 21, 2006 This is a very nice DVR but I would personally go with a EVR32-480-2000 for 32 cameras and 1 or 2 5TB EXT R5 to hold that much video depending on fps per cameras, resolution, motion or none motion settings and activity being recorded. Also the HVR32-480-2000 is an excellent choice because its hybrid and can use both IP and standard cameras. I have over 200 Toshiba DVR's in the field installed in the past 2 years and beside the recent software upgrade issue and a few(literally)bad HD's have heard nothing but praise. Personally I think they are over priced but when compared to other well known 32 ch units they are one of the best I have seen.
