I'm after a CCTV setup that will allow me to control it via an app on my Android mobile, where I can hold a button and speak to people through it, along with it only recording footage when/if motion is detected. I was thinking of utilizing my QNAP NAS but have been advised that it's not really a good idea as it would need to stay on 24/7, which is a good point. I'd rather have a dedicated drive for the camera as the QNAP has personal photos/videos etc so the less load on that the better. Does anyone have any recommendations for achieving the above?
