elsebas29 0 Posted December 20, 2014 Hello, I have recently set up a camera inmy house and I noticed that in the night appears a blue spot on my image, I already cleaned the lens but it didn't do much. Here is an image of the spot day/night. Could be that some infrareds are broken or something? The model of the camera is this http://www.rowantechnologies.com.mx/online/product/get/
Boogieman 1 Posted December 20, 2014 That camera is not even going into night mode...its got nothing to do with the leds... something else is wrong...regardless, why is the camera pointing at the wall... As an aside the image from that camera is very poor...
Don Stephens 0 Posted December 20, 2014 Hand to God, I can't even tell what I'm looking at. Is the image rotated 90 degrees? Are you referring to the splotch on the left of the image to the right? Is there any possibility of a clearer image? I don't expect you to magically make your cameras a better resolution, but even the time-stamp is hard to make out. elsebas29 0 Posted December 20, 2014 Sorry if the image was cropped, here is the full image, also I dont know if the quality is because im seeing the image online, but I see it with better quality on my monitor that is connected to de dvr.

Don Stephens 0 Posted December 20, 2014 Yep, that blue spot Before I start blurting anything out... 1. How old is the camera? 2. Have you ever opened the camera? 3. Can you please take a look at these and see which one might line up right with what you have? Admittedly, I don't speak the language on the site for the link you provided to the product. -http://www.surveillance-download.com/user/datasheets/analog_cam/KPC/KPC139EA-H_Spec.pdf -http://www.surveillance-download.com/user/datasheets/analog_cam/KPC/KPC139E-H_Spec.pdf -http://www.surveillance-download.com/user/datasheets/analog_cam/KPC/KPC139E-E_Spec.pdf

51cent 8 Posted December 20, 2014 Could it be a chemical stain or dye only viewable at night or in IR light? Could you move the camera a little bit to see if the spot moves?
Don Stephens 0 Posted December 20, 2014 I know you mentioned you cleaned the lens, but does that include both ends of it or just the front? On a number of occasions, I've found smudges and/or defects on the back end of the lens pressed up against the image sensor.
elsebas29 0 Posted December 22, 2014 I've been busy so that's why it took me so long to post an answer here, so I found the problem and feel a bit dumb xD, apparently that blue spot was a shadow -_-, I moved the camera and the spot stayed still, it wasn't moving as I moved the camera, so that was all the problem xD. chris63220 0 Posted December 27, 2014 This is a long shot, but maybe it's the camera.. To me that 'spot' looks like a camera with a bracket - It could be reflecting off something to make a slight shadow. Try moving the camera to the right a little to face more on the path not really the wall. If this doesn't work, let me know .
