How to Identify Legit Cards (GeoVision)

I am about to buy a GV-650-4 and I am seeing prices from $275 to over $360 for the same card. I have read on this forum that some cards are clones and I would like to avoid them if possible.

Our adveriser sells legit Geo cards, as do others on here, but basically just looking at the cards and software versions will tell you. If its a new card it will work with the latest version of Geo. It also sais Geo on the card. See the link above for more info.

I ended up buying a 1240-8 from Sal on this forum. It turns out his store is less then 5 miles from where I live.

 

I really knew nothing about this stuff before I came to this forum, so I figured it was only fair to help support it and it's active members.

Well I lied, it won't be a dolla unfortunately. Sorry

 

$385 USD + shipping. I bought it new from the GEO dealer here in Kanada (Sentry Security Systems in Kingston, ON). Comes with the dingling dangling dongle and 2 CD's. The 1st is v6.04 or something, and 2nd came with the dongle. v7.0 I believe. It is the 4 x BNC input version, V3 card.

 

EDIT: Up in the Classifieds now. This is what a legit GEO card (GV800) looks like.
