glf 0 Posted December 25, 2014 Hello, I'm looking for a cheap cctv tester in the 50$ range to use with my inspection snake camera. This borescope cam has an rca connector and a power input that accepts 3.3-5V. The cctv tester is mainly intended to have a portable monitor, to power the device and maybe recording capability integrated. I have seen many devices that meet my requirements, but I'd like some advice. Thank you.
ssnapier 0 Posted December 26, 2014 Most of these will not record, but this meets your price point easily. http://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Security-2400mah-Recharger-Battery/dp/B00DT0L87C/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1419617949&sr=8-5&keywords=cctv+monitor

jeromephone 6 Posted December 30, 2014 If you tote a laptop around you can buy framegrappers for under 50 that way you can save the video to show customer or log what the install looked like when you finished

glf 0 Posted January 1, 2015 I've found an interesting CCTV Tester model but with 12V power output that is not suitable for my cam that accepts 3.3-5V. The solution should be to power the cam with an external 3.3-5V Psu and connect the Video RCA only to the tester. Can someone please tell if this setup is ok or the Video RCA will receive 12V ? There is no tester support 5V output power to camera in market. You need to use extra power supply for your camera. And for tester, please reference: http://www.cctv-supplier.com/products/Wrist-CCTV-Tester-large-screen-clear-picture.html#.VLzKktJWEXU

rachelmcquire 0 Posted May 30, 2015 though $50 is a small amount still when i checked online, some sites are offering a reasonable variety for cctv tester in the mentioned amount. So, you may contact online sites rather than retailers.
