Cheap cctv tester

Hello,

 

I'm looking for a cheap cctv tester in the 50$ range to use with my inspection snake camera.

 

This borescope cam has an rca connector and a power input that accepts 3.3-5V.

 

The cctv tester is mainly intended to have a portable monitor, to power the device and maybe recording capability integrated.

 

I have seen many devices that meet my requirements, but I'd like some advice.

If you tote a laptop around you can buy framegrappers for under 50 that way you can save the video to show customer or log what the install looked like when you finished

I've found an interesting CCTV Tester model but with 12V power output that is not suitable for my cam that accepts 3.3-5V.

 

The solution should be to power the cam with an external 3.3-5V Psu and connect the Video RCA only to the tester.

 

Can someone please tell if this setup is ok or the Video RCA will receive 12V ?

Yes, It is better to have a bigger screen. There is no tester support 5V output power to camera in market. You need to use extra power supply for your camera.

though $50 is a small amount still when i checked online, some sites are offering a reasonable variety for cctv tester in the mentioned amount. So, you may contact online sites rather than retailers.
