ziv 0 Posted December 28, 2014 I have an IP camera that the rtsp feed is unprotected - and anyone(!) can to connect to it. The problem, is that i need to open it to the internet (and not only to the local network) become i use a remote server to record the feed. Do you have any advice how to protect the feed? ziv 0 Posted December 28, 2014 What camera? This one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Freeshipping-Hidden-wireless-ip-camera-720P-HD-wifi-cameras-mini-cctv-security-system-audio-home-door/2029403787.html In the camera's settings there is no option to do so. I thought maybe there is a solution with a third party software? I tried to play and stream the feed with VLC player, but i couldn't make it secure.
buellwinkle 0 Posted January 1, 2015 This may be the wrong forum, unless you are using a camera for access control. For example, I use a camera for LPR and grant access based on plate match, but even then, most on this forum are discussing access control like RFID card readers and such. If you have a question about how your cameras works, your best bet is to discuss this with the people you bought it from.
