glf 0 Posted January 2, 2015 Can someone please tell me what are the power specification of an RCA video output connector and if they must match power input specification found on video cameras ? For example: let's suppose the power input of a cam require 12V. RCA video output connector will receive 12V ?
jeromephone 6 Posted January 2, 2015 the camera is only going to send a very small voltage down the coax to the monitor or dvr I don't know for sure what it is but about .75v seems what I remember. If you have 24volt AC cameras they will send a similar output. Think of the camera as a transformer.
Billy_ICU 0 Posted January 3, 2015 Actually the word for that is "standard". Or "specification(s)". Here is some info I found searching for RCA Video Jack Standard... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composite_video http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_connector http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video Searching for specifications... http://www.maximintegrated.com/en/app-notes/index.mvp/id/1184
aibudo 0 Posted January 4, 2015 The standard video output is 1V Peak to Peak. Has been that way for many, many years.

Across 75 Ohm load Yep, it's been like that since I got into the electronics field when I was only 14 years old. 58 years ago and still at it.
