acquiesce1979 0 Posted January 8, 2015 I've had a look through the forum but can't seem to find the answer. I have recently (today) changed 3 cameras on my system from 620VED bought a few years back from JMC security using a QVIS DVR 2TB. To 3 x QVIS EYE-1000-V2Gs I already have 2 on the system with no problems. 1 Of the new 3 is working fine, 2 the IR is not working and the cameras seem to progressively get darker, I have removed all cameras from the PSU and I have tried a new PSU but still the same happens. The cameras when powered up start in IR but then cut off and when you cover the IR sensor it comes on but then straight off..... I will be trying a new camera in their place tomorrow but seems a little bit strange that 2 would be faulty.
Don Stephens 0 Posted January 8, 2015 You're likely not getting enough power to the cameras to power the IR board. You can check using a volt meter.
acquiesce1979 0 Posted January 12, 2015 Tried that, I have each camera on own supply via 12v 5amp psu I swapped cameras over one still dies the same except when I power it down and back up it enters ir, the other now just goes white during the day these cameras operate at less milliamp than the old ones
Bhawan 0 Posted January 14, 2015 How long is the distance of power transmission? might have to use 24v and then a 24v to 12v converter not expensive about $8 Canadian
