ONVIF Help

I purchased some cheap ONVIF cameras to use on my Hikvision DS-7716 NVR but cannot seem to get them to connect, I have turned DHCP on and can get them to work if I use a switch, but if I connect them directly to the NVR they will not connect.

What is the FW on the NVR.

 

You should be able to get it to work if you assign the cameras IP and then manually enter the info in the camera settings and make sure you choose onvif protocol for that specific port that it is connected to in the back of the NVR.

 

What is the make of the camera?

Good luck getting them to connect... what version of ONVIF are the cameras running?

So I finally got the camera to show up on the NVR using a switch. But now i cannot seem to get that channel to start recording

In case you are trying motion detection recording, try it with 24/7 recording.
