lincoln81 0 Posted January 15, 2015 I am looking at the local suppliers for cameras for my home, both of them came in within 100$ of each other both quoted the same size hard drive, both with 6 cameras, installed ect... the difference is IP cameras and HDCVI. not much information on google on the difference in what I should chose... what do you recommend? and why? I would like to make an educated decision by the weekend and get these installed next week thanks for your assistance cheers
Boogieman 1 Posted January 15, 2015 http://lmgtfy.com/?q=ip+vs+hdcvi Without knowing what the system specs are i is hard to compare...but generally you are better of with ip, particularly for any future upgrades and/or replacement parts.
Digiscan 0 Posted January 15, 2015 Everything I've read says go with IP on a new install (i.e. running wires). It is certainly the future, so you might as well hop on the bandwagon.
