stevepiel 0 Posted January 18, 2015 I have been installing analog cameras and have a video tester with bnc input that I use to point the cameras from the area that i install the camera at. Soon I will be installing IP security cameras and was wondering if there was any adapter I could use to plug the ip camera into the bnc connector so that I can view the camera while installing it? I have some bnc to cat5e blauns that I sometimes use for analog installs. Is there a possibility to use this to power and view the IP camera on my tester? the toss 0 Posted January 20, 2015 It sounds like you have no idea WHY you use the baluns on an analogue job or what the difference in signal transmission protocols of analogue & IP are. You need to do some reading
Boogieman 1 Posted January 20, 2015 Some ip cameras have a BNC out so you can use an analog monitor...otherwise just use a tablet/cellphone/laptop.
