chumpy7 0 Posted January 27, 2015 Myself and my neighbour have the same analogue DVR with 4 cameras and all the encode / schedule settings are the same. We both have a 1TB hard drive recording 24/7 but his uses a lot more HD space per week than mine does. The only difference is in the cameras. He has 700TVL Sony CCD cameras and I have cheapo 1000tvl CMOS jobs. Do his CCD cameras create larger files than my CMOS cameras ? regards Mick
Securame 0 Posted January 27, 2015 Nope. Are you using variable bitrate? That would make a difference. Otherwise, if both of you are recording at a fixed bitrate with the exact same settings, video files should be the same.
