question about motion event logs on most dvr systems.

Hi I have a question about event logs , or motion events.

 

Suppose when a dvr /camera system detects a motion and has the system setup to record 10 seconds , after a motion has been detected , and I come into a room and walk around for 20 seconds, does that get listed as 1 or 2 motion events on most dvr systems motion event log or motion event search result?

It's going to log it as an event for every separate time it detects motion. If you enter the room and your camera detects it as motion, that's one. If you sit down and stop moving and your camera returns to normal, then the event ends. Once you get back up and start moving again, the cycle repeats and logs event number two.

 

How it displays on the search bar during playback is manufacturer dependent.
