buellwinkle 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Trying to get this NVR setup and come across a weird problem. Half the cameras are on the internal PoE and half on a PoE switch. All install and configure fine, but on a few of them, we have no video and it happens with cameras connected to the PoE switch or ones on the NVR. Rebooting the NVR can caused different ones not to display and ones that did not display to show up. For example, camera 3 may not show video and camera 4 does. Rebooting it may make camera 3 show live video and camera 4 does not. Resolution, bitrate is being kept low at 720P, 2K to make sure we are not hitting a limit. The problem started when upgrading to 2.3.9 firmware, tried 2.3.10, same problem. Any ideas?
JoeyJoey 0 Posted February 8, 2015 How are the cameras connected, via the single port LAN (via the switch) or via a POE capable port connected to the switch? Tried V3.0.10 Build141125 firmware?
buellwinkle 0 Posted February 9, 2015 Did try that, bricked the NVR.
JoeyJoey 0 Posted February 9, 2015 I noticed that the first jump from the 2.X.X firmware to the 3.X.X requires the use of the tftp procedure. Try that.
Spark 0 Posted February 10, 2015 Sounds like a problem I had when going to v2.3.9 What version are the cameras? - It was suggested that the cameras need to be at (least?) v5.2.0 viewtopic.php?f=19&t=42179
jeromephone 6 Posted February 10, 2015 seems like you have to know way too much computer stuff to get the updates. I just went through the same thing with a ubiquity system that required a bunch of command line work. I have a fair amount of computer experience but I don't want to have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get something I paid for brand new to work. In my opinion if it should work out of the box and upgrades should be a pretty simple click on a link or download a file
