The_Darkness 0 Posted February 8, 2015 Hello, I have a Samsung SVR-450 that I am trying to connect to my PC via an ethernet cable. I made sure that the subnet address matched that of my PC's. However, I am still unable to get them to connect. Dealing with IPs is nothing new to me as I have connected other devices using IPs and have never had any issues. I checked the user's manual and it is of little help. Does the DVR need to be connect via a router? Thoughts? -TD
tomcctv 190 Posted February 8, 2015 Hi. Your looking at a DVR Which is 7 years old You will need to load webviewer onto your pc Your unit has no smart or mobile software
The_Darkness 0 Posted February 9, 2015 I picked up a network switch and I still can't connect to the DVR. My Wireless subnet is 255.255.255.0 and the ethernet subnet is 255.255.0.0. Even though I set the DVR subnet to match the ethernet's subnet, it still won't connect. Ugh!
The_Darkness 0 Posted February 9, 2015 I picked up a network switch yesterday and got it to work! However, the software is only picking up 1 of our 2 DVR units. I verified that the network settings were the same on each DVR, except for the IPs. Thoughts?
