Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have bought a camera with this chip inside - http://xiongmaitech.com/upload/201411/201411201523585529.pdf Camera has no reset options - but I can't remember admin password. Here is the camera: http://www.ebay.com/itm/505-10X-Zoom-Outdoor-Mini-IR-CUT-1-3MP-HD-960P-IP-Network-PTZ-Speed-Dome-P2P-Onv-/181658634266?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4bb2c81a

And this is a manual http://www.idview.com/IDVIEW/Downloads/Manuals/IP_Camera_user_manual_2013.pdf

I contacted the seller and he gave me a password for today - but if I try to use it on my local network - it doesn't work.

Can you help me with any advices, guys?

Maybe the date on the camera is not the date of "today". Try to get the date shown on camera and ask the password for that specific date. Some devices return to 01.01.1970 when cell battery removed.

Thank you for your suggestion. I was able to connect to camera and find the password in config which was saved by the viewer onto the USB flash drive. When I successfully connected - the date on the camera was exactly as we expected. So may be the guy from support somehow mistakenly generated that super password.
