dcam 0 Posted February 12, 2015 I would like to know if the ddns client is stored and run from the nvr or on the pc that I registered from. Also why do they have a nickname in the registration. I don't understand this nickname thing it seams to be everywhere in their software , why not call it a camera name or nvr name ! ? Confused ! but I'm making progress today ! Securame 0 Posted February 12, 2015 It is stored on the NVR, DVR, IP camera, or whatever device you configure it. No idea on what else you are saying...
dcam 0 Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks Mind Twist , When I go to the Hiddns registration page, it asks for a nickname , I' not sure why, or what it is for, Im not sure what to put in there. I think I will stick to NO-IP ddns , its less confusing. Thanks again
Securame 0 Posted February 12, 2015 That is just if you want to create an account on their web site. Then you can have many devices on your account, check their status, etc. You do not need to use that at all if you don't want to do so. If you like NOIP, just keep using it.
