Fletcher 0 Posted February 19, 2015 At our storage facility we have a PTZ camera that we had installed about 2 years ago. Unfortunately it is out of warranty, and we are having issues with it. Apparently one of the manager's children destroyed the joystick, which we replaced with a new controller which is fine. However, the camera is stuck pointing straight up into the sky. We can reset the position manually by climbing up, but once you reset everything, the camera points right back up into the air. Does anyone have any insight on what may be wrong? Thank you in advance.
cctvmann 0 Posted February 19, 2015 try this disconnect the joystick then disconnect motor cable from ptz camera motor and reposition the head then reconnect and repower the camera see if that resets it back to normal. remember to turn the power to camer off while cable disconnected dont do it live as depending on voltage could be 24vac or dc or even 230-240 v ac on cable.where abouts are you based in uk.
