mark_derry 0 Posted February 23, 2015 Please can anyone help identify the make (and maybe model) of this CCTV Recorder. There's no make or model shown on the outside. I've not yet opened it to check the MB There was a belief that it was a Swann but we're now not so sure.. I'll add some more photos when I can (There's a limit of 3 per post) Thanks Mark

Neutech 0 Posted February 23, 2015 Looks like unbranded general DVR What do you need to know or what are you trying to do with it? You should be able to see the size of HD in unit from menu
mark_derry 0 Posted February 23, 2015 I'm trying to hook it up to the network so the cameras can be accessed from outside via the internet. At the moment I'm not even getting this to appear on the list of devices connected to the hub (via Ethernet). I'll grab some more specific GUI screen shots when I'm next on site. Neutech 0 Posted February 25, 2015 you will need to find the Network setup menu where ever its buried and check if its set to static or dhcp and make sure the DVR is taking the LAN ip form the router and correct subnet mask etc then you might find it on the router. What brand router? Stroke city ?
mark_derry 0 Posted February 27, 2015 I found this was bought from Maplins about 3 years ago. Does that help anyone identify the manufacturer ? I found the network set up page. It gives the choices of DHCP, Static or PPPoE I've been trying to get it set up using DHCP As for the hub , it's a BT Home Hub 5 (Type A); Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 However the hub doesn't recognise it has anything connected via the Ethernet port ! (The CCTV is physically connected) . I have tested the cable and that looks good. Thanks Mark
Numb-nuts 1 Posted March 2, 2015 For the BT home hub start by reserving the IP of the DVR after allocating it a static IP address and then it won't matter if its set to static or DHCP, (better change back to DGCP after reserving the IP) the router DHCP will always allocate that DVR with the same IP address. (The router recognizes the DVR by it's MAC address) I have found this the most reliable way to approach the BT Home Hub settings. for the DVR generally set a device identifier address of between 159-200 If you speak to maplins tech support they will do it for you very often 'receipt needed'.
