netpromax 0 Posted March 2, 2006 What will be a good solution for police interview room? The problem is audio has to be syncronized perfectly with time lapsed video. Back to VCR? or DVD recorder? I will appreciate for any idea. Thanks.
kandcorp 0 Posted March 2, 2006 Why not go realtime? Instead of time-lapsed. How many audio and video channels will be recorded?
netpromax 0 Posted March 2, 2006 The thing is they have to use PC based DVR to integrate security camera, interview room cameras, and network it. I have not seen any DVR that records audio in sync without any delay, including ours which gives 0.5 to 1 second delay. I was wondering if anyone had experience with interview room for court or police, and what equipment used.
rory 0 Posted March 2, 2006 I used Verifact-A mic with NetProMax, and it was real time audio in playback .. then again it was only 1 single mic.
scottj 0 Posted March 3, 2006 The Geo systems sync audio with video fairly well. We sold several units to police departments for exactly the same reason you are asking, they swear by them now. Scottj
rory 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Yep, Geo works well for me, even over the internet, just replying about the NetMax system. Maybe I have a different interpretation of real time audio though .. but I havent had any issues with anything that did audio as yet. I havent done any 16 channel audio systems though, but alot of my systems here do have at least 1 mic.
baywatch 1 Posted March 4, 2006 Have a look at this site. http://www.joincc.com.au/html/july05.html We haven't tried it yet, waiting for system to test. Will let you know how it goes.
rapid 0 Posted March 4, 2006 Go for a standalone DVD recorder.
Joe Bal 0 Posted March 5, 2006 I like the stand alone dvr system, record it in real time and get a laroue ASK4 audio kit. you can put the mic in the ceiling and it will record the whole room. it is what we use for detention rooms in the casinos.
Billyk 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Some of the PDs in my district have both systems a motion activated, digital system with cameras everywhere in the station and a dedicated system in one of the interview romms with a separate camera and mic going to a DVD recorder for specific interviews. Best of both worlds and they get very good recording of the interviews.
