gmartz 0 Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) Hi, So we have this 2MP IP dome camera from Hikvision (Model: DS-2CD2720F-I) and upon testing several units, we observed that its IR reacts a bit late. If we turn off the lights, the IR will activate about 4-5 seconds. On the other hand, when we turn back on the lights, the IR will deactivate after 4-5 seconds as well. Is there a setting for this? 'cause normally the IR should activate/deactivate instantaneously (or at most 1-2 seconds? lol). Thanks for the help in advance. abdelm01 0 Posted March 16, 2015 I don't think there is, looks like the minimum is 5 seconds in the settings.
Maggan 0 Posted March 17, 2015 This is normal for any dome camera with inbuild IR. It is 4-5 seconds is actually pretty good. Axis 3364 lve takes 8-10 seconds.... It helps the camera protect something. why I do not know. I will use cameras with external IR when It is critical to remain Picture at all time or when someone can "run" by the camera when the ligth is cut.
