svt11 0 Posted March 29, 2015 Hi, we have DS-7216HVI-SV/A configured on remote site. We connect to it with iVMS-4200 usually, but now we can only connect using the web interface. We've opened ports 8000, 8080 and 554 and we can only connect writing w.x.y.z:8080 in Google Chrome. The DVR firmware is ver V3.1.3 build 141211. We tried using version 2.03 of iVMS-4200. Local reseller said me tha password - it's the same for the web interface and for iVMS, but in latter it says: Error code HCNetSDK.dll [7] Connection failed: device offline or connection timeout. svt11 0 Posted April 18, 2015 OK, we've figured it with help of my ISP. They've got CPE which is Mikrotik and they've done the port redirection, public:8000->192.168.X.20:8000 public:8080->192.168.X.20:8080 public:554->192.168.X.20:554 I didn't understand what my ISP, but he wrote me back that they've opened range 61918-61925 on UDP to DST-PORT: 8080 and it all worked. Wha they told me these ports are used by the DVR to send back traffic. So they opened inbound ports on the the gateway interface itself. I saw similar threads with this problem.
