platestealer 0 Posted April 9, 2015 Does anyone have any experience setting up port forwarding on an Acti ENR-140 NVR? I have the cameras all up and running but will be getting an internet connection with a static ip in a few weeks and will want to set up the NVR for remote viewing. I was expecting to come across 3 ports for the NVR (http, control, streaming) but instead in the setup menu under network tab, there is a port mapping section but there is just a http port to configure (default is 80). Also, is there any benefit to setting up each camera to do port forwarding or just set up the nvr (which would be easier)? I have never done this before so any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Samir 0 Posted April 14, 2015 Usually you'd just port forward to your nvr, which in turn would allow you to see the cameras. It makes sense that the nvr is only on port 80. That should make it easy for you to set up the port forwarding from the router--all you have to do is forward port 80. But double-check the manual to be sure. And if you don't want to mess with port forwarding, you can always just put the nvr in the router's dmz.
