gomavs41 0 Posted April 11, 2015 We are consistently losing control of 2 PTZs using a short (.5km) radio shot and I'm very perplexed. Everything tells me this set-up should be working flawlessly. We have at least 6 other radio shots set up at far greater distances that do work flawlessly. In the control room, our accudome controller sits on a table within half an arms length of 2 landline phones and a hand-held radio. Is it possible these other electronics are disrupting our controller/keyboard signal. The controller is hard-wired using cat-5 cable between the keyboard and transmit box. The cable is unsheilded at the connection going into the keyboard for approximately 1.5 inches. I'm really grasping at straws on this one.
jeromephone 6 Posted April 11, 2015 did you run any tests to see if you are getting interference from another source? could be a new source of RF if this is an unlicensed part of the wireless band.
gomavs41 0 Posted April 11, 2015 I didn't run any tests due to not having any testing equipment but it's a real possibility. What do you think about my question....could the signal from other nearby electronics be disrupting the the signal to the controller. I doubt it personally but I just want to be able to eliminate that possibility.
