Probably a worn out key. Although not real easy, if you take the keyboard apart, you can lightly clean the membrane with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. Also clean the contacts that the membrane touches on the circuit board with alcohol. Only use a couple of light swipes on the black coating on each key on the underside of the membrane because if you clean too much, you'll remove the coating and be in the same circumstance.

Alternately, you can buy a new key membrane. http://www.tlselectronics.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TLS&Product_Code=KP01-0101-0001&Category_Code=

If the circuit board and rubber mat isn't damaged, try resetting unit to factory defaults.

To reset the CM9760-KBD Matrix keyboard back to factory defaults, complete the following steps:

1. Disconnect data/power cable from Comm 1 of the keyboard

2. Turn on dip switches 1,2, and 8 only

3. Plug data/power cable into Comm 1 and wait until the keyboard display the message "diagnostic mode"

4. Afterward, disconnect data/cable again

5. Return dip switches back to original settings

6. Connect data/power cable back to Comm 1 7. Calibrate the joystick

Be careful when you put the unit back together. The ribbon cable is in a poorly designed position and can easily be damaged. make sure it isn't sitting on a screw hole before reassembly.

1. On the bottom of the CM9760-KBD, Turn dip switch 2 ON to enter setup mode

2. Enter the default pin number 1234

3. Select JSTK

4 Hold the joystick to the left, while keeping the joystick to the left, hit the button that looks like the hand pointing to the left

5. Repeat for other joystick positions (Right, Up, Down, and Center)

6. Hit save and then exit

7. Turn dipswitch 2 Off

8. Login to the KDB

You can get these from other vendors for about 1/3 of the cost in this link - try zuvid
