Help !! Need to integrate POS overlay with NVR

Guys I have an NVR and need to setup a POS overlay on one of the cameras can anyone assist/ help me figure this out !! I have seen searching the internet and have seen solutions using serial to Ethernet convertors but I don't know how to configure or set them up...Thanks
