Interference and PTZ Camera IR Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, this is my first post to the forum,

I have a PTZ Camera (Link below) and when it activates night vision the IR LED's come on for a few seconds then flicker then turn off and the camera goes into a System boot menu, it does a few tests then it will repeat this over and over till day light, any ideas what could be causing this problem? it functions fine during day time but as soon as its dark the camera plays up, i am still waiting for a reply from the Seller.

also i have experienced a 15mm line of interference in my other 3 bullet camera's, i am just wondering what could be causing this, does 240v Mains Power cause interference? is it worth buying a BNC Video Ground Loop Isolator like this one: http://www.fishpond.com.au/Electronics/VideoSecu-Passive-BNC-Video-Ground-Loop-Isolator-Noise-filter-for-CCTV-Security-Camera-Surveillance-System-1MU/9999420020890

thanks for any suggestions or help guys.

How is the camera connected to power? Sounds like its not getting enough amps to keep those IRs on. Might want to try to plug the power into a sockets thats on a different breaker with no power consumption on it to test if its a power issue.
