FirstLine 0 Posted April 27, 2015 Hello to all. I am new to this forum but have worked in the Security industry for a number of years. We are looking at donating a camera to our local Business Improvement Association so we can link the picture to their web site and either send steaming video or refresh every 20 to 30 seconds of the downtown business core. What we would like to do is embed our company logo in the bottom right corner of the picture. Much like TV stations do with a semi transparent image. I can do this by overlaying the logo over the video on a web page but I would like to be able to do it right in the camera if possible. The camera we are going to be using is a Vivotek IP8335H. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
jazzar 0 Posted April 28, 2015 old school kit / solution if you can input a video signal of the logo onto this unit, then display as a picture in picture and send the combined output down the line ? see:- http://www.ambery.com/2pivigemi.html
FirstLine 0 Posted April 28, 2015 Thanks for the idea but this is a IP camera and I was hoping to do the logo thing without any other piece of equipment.
Owain 0 Posted April 28, 2015 That camera should do a time stamp and text caption overlay - accessed through its setup menus. A logo will be more difficult; you'd have to decode the digital image stream, overlay, then re-encode the image stream. If you are only uploading periodic static images (jpgs) then a scriptable image editor eg GIMP should be able to handle it, running on the webserver.
